Used Equipment Listing Process
Step One: Choose an Equipment Category
In this step, you choose the category under which to list your item. The input box is equipped with auto-complete which means that, as you type, suggestions of possible categories will appear. If you feel that none of our suggestions fits your item, you can use the lower box to enter a category that you would like us to add. You can always revise your selection later by using the Previous Step navigation button.
Step Two: Choose Manufacturer
Type in the name of the manufacturer (if known). The input box is equipped with auto-complete which means that, as you type, suggestions of manufacturers will appear. If none of the suggestions matches your manufacturer, you can use the lower box to enter the correct one. Or, if the manufacturer is unknown, you can hit the “Skip” button.
Step Three: Provide Item Details
At this point you will enter information that describes your equipment including such things as the title for the item, model and serial number, if you so choose. You can also add a narrative description of the used equipment that you’ll be listing.
Step Four: Auction Settings
This where you will further refine the characteristics of your listing. During this step you set the reserve, starting and “Buy it Now” price for the item; identify the equipment’s condition, upload photos and link videos, and identify the location of the equipment. Here are the specifics.
Multiple Items, the price is for each
Multiple Items, the price is for the entire lot
All auctions are in US Dollars. Current exchange rates are provided.
You may set what you consider to be a reasonable level at which to start the bidding. By setting a Starting Bid, you are not committing to sell at that price. If you set a Reserve, we automatically suggest a Starting Bid based on the Reserve.
The Reserve Price is the minimum you would accept for the item. If there is a bid at this price or above by the end of the auction, the item will be sold but if the bidding is not up to this price the auction will close without a winner. If you do not set a Reserve, it means that you are willing to accept whatever price the auction brings.
Buy it now:
The Buy it Now Price is the price you would accept to end the auction early. By setting a Buy it Now Price you are allowing a buyer to bypass the auction and purchase your item straight out. We recommend that you set a Buy it Now Price because machinery buyers often need to purchase a machine quickly and cannot wait for an auction to end.
Also be aware that, if you receive a bid, you can make a counter offer and come to an agreement to end the auction that way.
Describe whether the equipment is use, refurbished, new or incomplete.
Length of Auction:
As a seller you can determine how many weeks or months you’d like for your listing to be active.
To accompany your item you can either upload images from your local computer or enter the URL of an image(s) hosted elsewhere
In addition to images you can link to online video files, please note only .avi/.mpeg/.mov are supported.
For convenience you can opt to have your items automatically re-listed for you, options are available to allow you to select whether the item should be re-listed if sold and how many re-list attempts should be made.
Step Five: Shipping and Payment Details
In this step you list the weight and dimensions of your item and you identify whether the buyer or you, the seller, pays for shipping. By entering the shipping weight, dimensions and equipment location you allow bidders to estimate the shipping cost. In most cases, the buyer pays the freight but you have the option of offering free delivery.
The seller is expected to prepare the item(s) for shipping with a skid or crate, as required.
Step 6: Terms
As part of the listing process you must agree to our terms prior to publishing your listing.
Proceeding on, you can then review the listing and make changes if required, please note you can still edit your listing once live via the members area.
Step 7: Finish
The final step provides you with listing confirmation and you will also receive an email confirming the details of your listing.
